Over 50 firearms charges have been laid against two men who police say are known gang members.
The charges stem from an arrest on Wednesday.
Police say they picked up two known gang members on outstanding warrants.
The K9 Unit found a van belonging to one of the arrested men at a parking lot near Carburn Park in the southeast.
Police searched the van and found body armour and a number of weapons including an assault rifle, sawed-off shotguns and handguns.
All the weapons in the vehicle were loaded.
Billy Ly, 24, has been charged with over 25 firearms offences. Police say Ly is one of the highest ranking gang members in Calgary.
Dang Nguyen, 22, has also been charged with over 25 firearms offences.
Police are asking for help determining the movements of the van prior to the arrests.
