Autumn began this morning at 7:30. It's the fall equinox, but because the atmosphere bends the light rays of the sun as they reach Earth, we don't actually get an equal 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. In fact today, September 22, we have 12 hours and 9 minutes of daylight. The changeover to less than half a day of light happens on September 25th. We're in for a slightly warmer day Wednesday, as a storm approaches the BC coast. They get the rain, we get a flow of mild Pacific air. It may get a bit windy starting late tomorrow. It will become slightly cooler, but remain dry through the weekend.
