Police say they used tips from the public and even from some criminals to track down a mother wanted in the death of her child.

Lisa Guerin and Jonathan Hope are charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death.

Their 16-month-old daughter, Summer, died of a methadone overdose in their southwest Calgary home in April 2006.

Lisa Guerin was arrested then released, but failed to show up for her trial.

Now Calgary police say she was re-arrested June 23 in Nanaimo, B.C.

Prosecutors want her held behind bars until her new trial date in September.

Police allege Summer's father, a recovering drug addict, smuggled home methadone from a clinic and the girl accidentally drank the bitter opiate.
