Calgary police are investigating a Friday evening collision in the city’s southeast that sent one woman to hospital.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m., a vehicle collided with a bicycle at the intersection of 19 Avenue and 36 Street Southeast. Emergency crews responded but the driver of the vehicle fled the crash scene.

The female cyclist was transported to hospital by ambulance in stable, non-life threatening condition. The nature of her injuries has not been confirmed.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model, blue Ford Explorer.
