The Calgary Fire Department is investigating the cause of a garage fire that broke out in the northwest community of Montgomery on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out shortly after 3:00 a.m. at 4620 29 Avenue N.W. and it created a lot of smoke and even spread to a trailer.

Witnesses say the smoke could be seen from Canada Olympic Park.

There were reports of explosions heard in the fire, but officials say they were from the sound of exploding tires from the RV.

Crews are looking into the cause of the fire.

No one was injured and there is no estimate on the damage cost.
