The Calgary Police Service is asking for help from the public in identifying the man believed to be responsible for two recent holdups.

On Sunday afternoon, a man entered the M & M Meat Shops location in the 8000 block of Centre Street Northeast, grabbed an item from a display and approached the till. While the female employee rang through the purchase, the man walked behind the till and told the woman to step aside. The man, who was holding a small switch-blade knife, proceeded to open the register and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Five days earlier, a man with a similar description robbed the M & M Meat Shops in the 200 block of Shawville Boulevard Southeast.

Police suspect the culprit is responsible for both robberies. In both cases, the man is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Having a pale complexion
  • Being in his late 20s or early 30s
  • Approximately 178 cm (5’10”) tall
  • Skinny
  • Having dark, curly hair
  • Wearing glasses

The Calgary Police Service has release surveillance stills of the robbery suspect.

Anyone with information about the M & M Meat Shop robberies is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service, 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers.
