The trial for two men accused of killing Calgary father could be moved to the city by next month.

Kristopher Goerzen, 22, and Cody Bauer, 24, have both been charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Nick Lush.

Both of the accused appeared in Cochrane Provincial Court, one after the other, via CCTV.

At an earlier hearing, there was a heated exchange between the accused men and members of Lush’s family.

The incident became so serious that authorities needed to step in to settle things down.

During Tuesday’s proceedings, there was an increased police presence, but there were no incidents reported.

Both Goerzen and Bauer are scheduled to appear in court in two week, at which point lawyers will decide on the specifics of the trial itself and discuss the possibility of moving the proceedings to the Calgary Courts Centre.
