Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi has placed second on a list of the 50 most important people in Canada.
The list was published in the latest issue of Maclean’s magazine, which put him second only to Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The magazine says the list is based on individuals who inspire and change the way Canadians think.
The rest of the top ten includes:
- Jerry Dias, President of Unifor
- Mark Wiseman, President and CEO of the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board
- France Charbonneau, Superior Court Judge
- Ray Novak, Stephen Harper’s Chief of Staff
- Galen Weston Jr., Executive chairman of Loblaws
- Justin Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
- Julie Dickson, Superintendent of the office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions
- Mike Lazaridis, Co-founder of Blackberry
The complete list can be found in the current issue of Maclean’s and online later this week.
