Calgary police believe an early morning shooting at a Vietnamese restaurant along 32 Ave. N.E. was not a random attack.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., police responded to a call of shots fired at the Basil Ultimate Pho and Fine Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant.

On arrival, police found one man dead and two others suffering from gunshot wounds inside the establishment in the Centre 32 plaza at 2770 32 Ave. N.E.

The two injured men were transported to hospital.  The severity of their injuries is not known at this time.

The gunshot victims are believed to be in their 30’s and 40’s.

Police believe there was a fourth victim in the shooting. A woman, suffering from a minor gunshot wound, arrived at a nearby hospital a short time after the Basil restaurant shooting.

Police are interviewing witnesses to the attack.

A description of the suspect, or suspects, in the shooting has not been released.  Police believe the shooting was not a random attack.

The man killed in the shooting is Calgary's sixth homicide victim of 2012.
