Calgary may be sending more MPs to Ottawa to handle the growing population of our city.
A commission is currently in the city discussing the redrawing of Calgary’s electoral boundaries and adding two MPs to the House of Commons,
The new riding names are also being mulled over, with some of the suggestions being Calgary-Spy Hill and Calgary-McCall.
Including the Calgary seats, Alberta could be seeing another six seats.
The public are invited to the Harry Hays Building to take part in one of the information sessions:
- Monday, September 24 at 1:30 p.m.
- Monday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m.
There are eight ridings in the city right now.
