Members of the Airdrie RCMP detachment have seized a stolen Honda CRV and more than 600 pieces of jewelry following a Friday afternoon crash west of Airdrie.

According to RCMP, officers responded to a crash scene on Range Road 13 and discovered one of the vehicles involved, a Honda CRV, had been reported stolen and had a stolen licence plate. The four occupants of the vehicle received medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Within the CRV, officers located suspected stolen items including:

  • More than 600 pieces of jewelry
  • Jewelry boxes
  • Tools
  • Electronics

Police believe the items were stolen during recent break-and-enters of homes in Beiseker, Olds, Airdrie, Strathmore and Calgary. Victims of recent thefts who believe their property may have been in the CRV are asked to contact Cst. Echelle Malone of the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7230.

Charges are pending against a 45-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man in connection to the stolen property seizure.
