Each year, United Nations Association in Canada, Calgary Branch (UNAC Calgary) hosts a unique event on UN Day to reflect on the aims and achievements of the United Nations.

This year is particularly unique as it marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations on October 24t, 1945, and the branch is hosting a couple festivities on October 24 to celebrate this.

One of the event’s is this year’s ceremony which will begin with a short address from the President, followed by an overview of the United Nations by Douglas Roche. Warm beverages on a first come, first served basis will be provided.
