A Calgary woman has been charged in connection with 11 robberies that first started back in November 2011.

Stephanie Dawn-Lyn Acoose, 42, of Calgary, faces 23 separate charges related to the robberies.

Acoose was arrested on June 4, 2012, at a home in the 600 block of Rundlehorn Circle N.E.

A subsequent search of the house and a car turned up masks and a pair of imitation handguns.

She has been charged with 12 counts of robbery, nine counts of using a disguise for an indictable offence and two counts of robbery with a firearm.

Police believe that Acoose was solely responsible for following robberies:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 – RBC Royal Bank – 4800 block of Northland Drive N.W.
  • Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 – Safeway Pharmacy – 300 block of 36 Street N.E.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 – BMO – 8200 block of Centre Street N.
  • Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 – Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy – 6000 block of Memorial Drive E.
  • Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 – Safeway Pharmacy – 300 block of 36 Street N.E.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 – BMO – 3600 block of Westwinds Drive N.E.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 – Zellers Pharmacy – 2500 block of 36 Street N.E.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 – Safeway Pharmacy – 1400 block of 52 Street N.E.
  • Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 – TD Canada Trust – 2000 block of 34 Street N.E.
  • Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 – Scotiabank – 4800 block of Centre Street N.

They also believe she was involved in a robbery at a BMO bank in the 8200 block of Centre St. N. along with an as-yet-unidentified male on April 4, 2012.

Police are continuing to investigate and they are pursuing charges against the man in the April robbery but have not laid any at this time.
