Occupational health and safety is investigating after two injury incidents during west leg LRT construction.

There are questions about worker safety after the two incidents, just one day apart.

On Tuesday, a worker was struck in the head with a large piece of plywood. The plywood became dislodged and fell about 8 metres.

The man was rushed to hospital in serious condition and Occupational Health and Safety issued a stop work order at the site. That order is now lifted.

A day later, a 24-year-old man became pinned between two pieces of construction equipment and was taken to hospital with a suspected fracture pelvis.

OHS is investigating that incident, too.

The company named in the investigation is Jasper Constructors.
