Transit commuters in the downtown core should prepare for extended travel times throughout the Victoria Day long weekend as 7 Ave CTrain service will be temporarily replaced with shuttle bus service.
The following LRT stations will be closed until Tuesday morning:
- City Hall
- Centre Street
- 1 Street West
- 3 Street West
- 4 Street West
- 6 Street West
- 7 Street West
- 8 Street West
During the station closures, shuttle bus service will transport passengers:
- Between Sunnyside and Stampede stations
- Between the Downtown West/Kerby and Bridgeland/Memorial stations
Eastbound shuttles will run along 9 Ave, will westbound shuttles will transport passengers utilizing 6 Ave
The long weekend closure will allow transit crews to replace a major switch near City Hall Station as well as repair, clean and perform maintenance along the 7 Ave line.
