A Saturday evening house fire near Highway 66 has reduced the structure to a smouldering foundation.
Shortly before 7:00 p.m., fire crews from Redwood Meadows responded to a home in the 100 block of Highlands Blvd, south of the hamlet of Bragg Creek, following reports of a house fire.
On arrival, firefighters encountered a home fully engulfed by flames. Additional crews from Elbow Valley, Priddis and Springbank were deployed to the scene, but the home could not be salvaged.
No one was home at the time of the fire and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Crews remained at the home into Sunday dousing hot spots which could reignite.
