Joffrey Reynolds, former Calgary Stampeders all-star, has been re-arrested by police on Tuesday when police say he violated a court order.
They say that Reynolds breached the conditions of a no contact order.
According to the report, he was out on bail awaiting sentencing for the assault conviction of his ex-girlfriend.
Kaitlin Ward, his ex, said during the trial that Reynolds tackled and choked her when she came home and found him in her apartment.
Immigration officials have started proceedings to deport him to the United States.
