A popular event in the Town of High River has been forced to be postponed due to inclement weather and a flood watch in effect in the community.

Guy Weadick Days was supposed to begin this weekend, but has been pushed back until next month.

The festival, which features chuckwagon races, a rodeo, and other events, will now run on July 17 through to July 20.

On Friday, High River will be commemorating the one year anniversary of the historic flood that forced 100,000 people to flee their homes.
