Olds RCMP say they’ve now charged a man they arrested in November in connection with a series of fraud offences in the community.
On November 29, RCMP were called to a local business after a man was caught trying to use a stolen credit card.
Police arrested Morgan Stephen Winter, 39, and a subsequent investigation revealed that Winter was linked to several other fraud offences in Olds and surrounding communities.
They say that Winter also used the name Robert Gallaher during his offences.
Winter has been slapped with 21 charges that include possession of a stolen credit card, use a forged document, and fraud.
He has been released following his first hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on December 16 in Didsbury Provincial Court.
Police believe that Winter may be responsible for several other frauds in and around the Olds/Didsbury area.
