Calgary police have taken a 30-year-old man into custody in connection to the death of Jessica Rae Newman earlier this year.
The 24-year-old mother of three was last seen on March 10, 2015 in the Forest Lawn area.
Her body was found in a ditch by a work crew in the area of Range Road 265 and Township Road 264, north of the city, at the beginning of May.
The Major Crimes Unit took over the case at the end of March and a photo of a possible witness in the case was released a few weeks later.
Police say they will only release the name of the man in custody if charges are laid.
