Calgary police say they have arrested a man known to their Gang Unit.
On Thursday, Roland Yeehung Chin was taken into custody after allegedly breaching his parole conditions.
The 25-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop near his home.
Police say Chin was wearing a bulletproof vest, had a folding knife and a cell phone.
Officers have been closely monitoring Chin since his release from Bowden Institution in July.
Police say during that surveillance time they have seen him associating with others known to the Gang Unit.
