Calgary police are on the lookout for a man in a Christmas sweater who approached a teenage girl while she was waiting for the school bus on Wednesday morning.
According to police, a 17-year-old girl was walking along Abadan Cres. N.E. on her way to a nearby bus stop when she noticed a man sitting in a parked car.
The girl, feeling uncomfortable, crossed the road. The man exited his vehicle and began to clean the car’s mirrors. The suspect called out to out the girl asking her where she was going.
The teenager increased her speed in an attempt to flee the area. The man returned to his vehicle and followed the girl to the bus stop, shouting to her from his open window.
The man asked the girl to get into his car and the teenager ran to a nearby convenience store.
The suspect is described as:
- A man of Middle Eastern descent
- Approximately 35-years-old
- Under 183 cm (6’) tall
- Approximately 82 kgs (180 lbs)
- Clean shaven
- Wearing a sweater with a Christmas design
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer model, white sedan hatchback.
