Some roads in southwest Calgary are closed until noon for the Sport Chek Mother's Day Run
The roads around CF Chinook Centre are closed until noon Sunday due to the annual Sport Chek Mother's Day Run.
Thousands of runners are participating.
Here's what commuters need to know:
- Macleod Trail will be reduced to two lanes for northbound traffic between Glenmore Trail and Mission Road.
- Macleod will be reduced to a single lane for southbound traffic between Glenmore and Mission Road.
- Southbound Elbow Drive S.W. will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between 4 Street S.W. and Lansdowne Avenue S.W. Northbound lanes will be closed to traffic.
- Fourth Street S.W. is closed between 42 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
- 58 Avenue S.W. is closed between Fifth Street S.W. and Macleod Trail.
- Mission Road S.W. is reduced to a single northbound-only lane between Fourth Street S.W. and Macleod Trail.
- There's limited parking in the area. Runners are advised to use Calgary Transit.
