One woman is dead and two people have been transported to hospital following a Tuesday morning rollover on a gravel road southwest of the towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley.

According to EMS public education officer Stuart Brideaux, paramedic crews from Black Diamond, Okotoks and High River responded to an area near the intersection of 208 Street and 482 Avenue at approximately 10:00 a.m. following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

A bystander directed emergency crews to the locations of a flipped SUV and three injured adults.

A woman, believed to be in her early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was located a significant distance from the crash scene.

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.

The other occupants of the SUV, a man and a woman, were transported to hospital by ground ambulance in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. The woman is receiving medical treatment for undisclosed injuries at the Oilfields Hospital in Black Diamon.

According to EMS, the male patient suffered back injuries after being ejected from the vehicle and was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. Responding paramedics suspect the man had not been wearing a seat belt.

RCMP are investigating the crash.
