Tens of thousands of Canadians are participating today in the country's largest walk to support youth mental health.

Community leaders, neighbours, coaches, teachers, kids, moms, dads and grandparents will step forward as one community for one cause: kids, by walking in one of the more than 40 locations across Canada, including right here at home.

The Walk So Kids Can Talk is hoping to raise $2.5 million, all of which goes to the Kids Help Phone.

The phone line offers a place to turn for 6.5 million children and teens in Canada when they need help.

Help the Kids Help Phone keep its promise to always "be there" for young people in distress.

The walk begins Sunday May 6th at 2:00 pm (registration begins at 1:00) at Eau Claire Market 202, 200 Barclay Parade S.W. in Calgary.

And if you can't make it to today's walk, you can still help by being part of the "Virtual Walk". Check the website for more information.
