Wtih an upper ridge, and a surface warm front powered by a chinook flow, Friday looks to be the warmest day of the next five to seven days. Temperatures should reach the high single digits across southern Alberta, with a chance for a double digit high in the Lethbridge area. Going into the weekend, it will remain warmer than average, with temperautres expected to peak at 0 or above not just through the weekend, but well into next week as well. Over the long range we're keeping an eye on a chance for snow in early February, as a Low pressure system passes to the south of us, from Washington to Montana. That's still ten days away, so there is plenty of potential for the pattern to change.
