A man believed to be in his mid-twenties has been transported to hospital after suffering a fall at a jobsite in the city’s southeast.

According to EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux, crews were called to the 400 block of Quarry Way S.E. at 12:30 p.m. following reports of an injured worker. EMS located a man who had fallen approximately 7 metres (between 20 and 25 feet) from a platform.

The worker was transported by ambulance to Foothills Hospital in serious condition. The nature of his injuries has not been released.
