Cineplex Entertainment has announced that they will be building a new theatre that will have several auditoriums designed for adults only.
The new 43,000 square foot, 11 screen theatre at Seton Boulevard and Deerfoot Trail will feature three VIP auditoriums, first of their kind in Calgary.
VIP Cinemas are open to adults only and offer menu service at your seat.
The menu includes traditional movie fare as well as specialty appetizers.
They are licenced for liquor sale, and are equipped with a licenced lounge and a dedicated box office.
In addition to the menu, the seats are also larger and can be reserved in advance of showings.
"We are pleased to provide Calgary movie lovers with a cutting-edge theatre and access to the VIP Cinema experience," said Ellis Jacob, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cineplex Entertainment. "There is simply no better way to experience going to the movies."
The theatre will also feature an UltraAVX™ auditorium and seven traditional auditoriums.
The theatre is expected to open in 2014.
