Police are looking for two men believed to be responsible for the attempted theft of an ATM machine from a TD bank in the city's northwest back in June.

Police say the pair tried to steal the machine from the TD at 12006 Symons Valley Rd. N.W. at about 6:10 a.m. on June 4 using a grappling hook, sledge hammer and clevis hitch.

They were unsuccessful but managed to cause significant damage to the ATM.

The offenders were seen driving an older model grey or brown Ford F350 that had four fog lights attached to the bumper and an obscured licence plate.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • About 185 cm or 6’1” tall
  • Wearing a black sweater, black pants and a face mask

The second suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • About 185 cm or 6’1” tall
  • Was wearing blue jeans, a black sweater, a black bandana, yellow safety glasses and a grey hat with a red rim and red lettering of the word ‘Lucky’
