The Calgary Police Service homicide unit is leading the investigation into Thursday morning’s discovery of a body in a Harvest Hill alleyway.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the 9700 block of Harvest Hills Link Northeast after a member of the public made the grisly find.
Following Friday’s autopsy, the deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Harsimran Singh Birdi.
Police believe Birdi’s death was the result of a targeted incident but the cause of death has not been released.
