Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for sections of southern Alberta on Sunday with up to 10 cm of snow expected to fall in some areas,
The return of winter conditions reduced visibility and created slick conditions along roads and highways.
As of 7:00 p.m., snowfall warnings remain in effect for the following regions:
- Okotoks, High River and Claresholm
- Kananaskis and Canmore
- Cardston, Fort Macleod and Magrath
- Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek and Waterton Lakes National Park

According to CTV Calgary weather specialist Warren Dean, an Arctic push brought Sunday morning's snow and cold conditions will soon follow. Precipitation is expected to wane throughout Sunday but temperatures will drop overnight. Monday's forecasted high is -14C and the air mass will likely remain throughout the work week.
