A strong showing for the Stampede City in the Fraser Institute’s annual ranking of Alberta’s 279 high schools, as 13 of the top 25 schools are located within the city's boundaries.
The 2011-2012 rankings included a four-way tie for the top honour. Old Scona in Edmonton, Ste Marguerite d’Youville in St. Alberta, and Calgary’s Webber Academy and Rundle College all achieved perfect ratings.
The Fraser Institute’s rating is based on results from grade 12 diploma exam results, grade-to-grade transition rates, and graduation rates.
