A Calgary senior is still recovering in hospital after he was attacked in a downtown alleyway earlier this month and a 19-year-old man is now facing charges.
Police were called to the 100 block of 2 Avenue S.E. at about 8:30 a.m. on July 8 for reports of a man in medical distress.

A public plea for information to identify a person of interest, who was captured by CCTV, was issued the next day and police received a tip from the public that led them to identify the man.
On Tuesday, a man was arrested in connection to the case and officers found an imitation firearm and 3.9 grams of cocaine on him.
On Wednesday, officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of Doverview Cresent S.E. and seized a number of items including a loaded 38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver.
