A devastating blaze at a Boston Pizza restaurant was one of two fires Lethbridge crews contended with on Wednesday morning.
Seven trucks were called to the scene of the fire at the restaurant located on Mayor Magrath Dr. S. No one was inside the building at the time the fire broke out.
According to fire officials, the fire was so intense, it damaged the internal structure of the walls, causing them to collapse.
Crews had to deal with another fire just after midnight, Wednesday morning, at the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel. Crews were able to contain that fire to a storage room, but parts of the building received significant water damage.
An investigation into the cause of both fires is underway. Fire officials do not believe the fires are connected.
