A long running debate has now been decided for one of Calgary’s best known charities.

Officials at the Mustard Seed took a lot of consideration in deciding what to do with a number of parking spaces the facility no longer needs.

The underground parkade at the building in southeast Calgary has sat empty since spring 2014, but the organization now says they will be renting out the spots.

The Mustard Seed says that the 1010 Centre, the affordable housing complex they manage was required to have a certain amount of parking spaces.

However, many of the residents at the building don’t need the spots.

The revenue generated from the parking will go right back into the Mustard Seed.

There is no word yet on how many spaces will be available or how much they’ll cost.
