A new exhibit is set to open to the public at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in honour of the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Six Olympic Games gold medalists were on hand to open the Sochi 2014 Exhibit at Canada Olympic Park on Monday.

The exhibit features stories, artefacts and video on 'who to watch to win Gold' at the upcoming Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games including Meaghan Mikkelson Reid, Kaillie Humphries, Charles Hamelin, Rosalind Groenewoud, Mark McMorris, Tyler Mosher and Brian McKeever.

The event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Innsbruck 1964 Olympic Winter Games Men's Bobsleigh Gold Medal win with members, Vic Emery, Doug Anakin and John Emery.

"From the Sochi Exhibit launch today at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, we send our hearty congratulations to each of you for being selected to represent Canada in Sochi. One rung at a time, you have reached the Olympic ladder and are poised to do your best for yourselves and your country. Reflecting back on 50 years since our Gold, whichever rung you reach it will all have been worth it and will remain with you for life. GO Canada GO!" Vic Emery, 1964 Olympic Winter Games Gold Medal Bobsleigh Team.

Also in attendance were the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games Men's Coxless Pairs Gold Medallist, Roger Jackson, Senator Nancy Greene Raine, Grenoble 1968 Olympic Winter Games Giant Slalom Gold Medallist, and Kerrin Lee-Gartner, 1992 Olympic Winter Games Downhill Skiing Gold Medallist.

The Olympians were joined by 145 Grade 8 students from St. Elizabeth Seton School who signed a Canadian flag to send along with the Canadian team to Sochi for good luck.

The Sochi 2014 Exhibit opens to the public on February 4, 2014.
