Monogram Coffee co-founder Ben Put is bringing home the hardware once again after placing third at the World Barista Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

The prestigious coffee competition is in its 17th year and pits baristas from around the world against each other to determine who makes the best espressos, cappuccinos and original espresso signature drinks.

It is the second consecutive win for Put who also came in third at last year’s competition in Seattle.

“Representing Canada at the World Barista Championships was a huge honour for me, and I’m so excited to have placed 3rd overall again and bring the spotlight back to the incredible coffee community we have in Canada,” said Put in a release on Sunday.

This year, 61 countries sent representatives to compete in three rounds with the top six advancing to the final round.

Participants were required to make four espressos, four milk drinks and four signature brews in just 15 minutes for a panel of judges.
