Police are searching for a suspect after temporarily closing down two LRT stations Wednesday evening.

Two LRT stations in northwest Calgary were closed after police were called in to check out two suspicious packages.

Witnesses said one package left at the Brentwood LRT station looked like a pressure cooker, however it turned out to be a slow cooker.

The other suspicious device at the Crowfoot LRT station was initially described as a toolbox, but it turned out to be an electronic device.

Police say the public wasn’t in any danger.   They do say the two incidents appear to be related.

Police are looking at LRT surveillance video to see if they can identify a suspect.
