Calgary police are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for an alleged Sunday night assault in the southeast.

According to police, a woman was walking in the 200 block of Heritage Drive Southeast, shortly before midnight, when she realized she was being followed. An unknown man struck the woman’s buttocks, yelled vulgarities, before running towards a nearby apartment complex on Frobisher Boulevard.

The suspect is described as:

  • Aboriginal
  • Believed to be in his twenties
  • Approximately 175-178 cm (5’9” – 5’10”) tall
  • Weighing roughly 68 kg (150 lbs)

At the time of the alleged assault, the suspect was wearing baggy clothing including a grey hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants.
