A search warrant executed at a rural property near Calgary has turned up several saddles and police are putting the word out to try and locate the owners.

RCMP auto theft investigators were working on a file and seized a number of saddles during the operation.

They say there are indications that the tack may have been taken from properties in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Police have been canvassing other detachments and searching databases and have not been able to find the owners.

If the saddles have not been claimed by the end of February 2015, they will be donated or disposed of.

Potential owners are asked to contact the RCMP Southern Alberta Auto Theft Unit to identify their property at (403) 701-1462 or email Lindsey.ANDERSON@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
