Twillow, a four-year-old certified therapy dog, was the guest of honour at her recent birthday celebration but she gave her guests reason to celebrate her heroics after she warned everyone of impending danger.

Earlier this month, Twillow refused to eat and began pacing during her party. One of the guests followed the therapy dog outside to discover a tree and a section of fence were engulfed in flames. Strong wind fanned the blaze and the house was in danger of catching fire.

Straja King, Twillow’s owner, says the guest returned inside and sprang into action.

"The house is on fire call 911!,” recalls King. “It looked to her like the house was on fire because the flames were so high.”

“I literally just stuck my head out and saw the all flames and the first thing I thought of was get the animals and the people out and make sure that they’re all safe"

All of the party revelers, people and pets, escaped the home unharmed.

Investigators believe the fire began when a pile of rags soaked in Linseed oil overheated near the fence.
