The NBA is coming to Western Canada for two exhibition games in Vancouver and Calgary as part of the NBA Canada Series presented by Bell.

On October 3, the Toronto Raptors will be playing against the Denver Nuggets , along with top 2016 Draft pick Jamal Murray, at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The team will also be playing in Vancouver’s Rogers Place against the Golden State Warriors on October 1.

The players on both sides of the game are excited to come back to Vancouver and make their first appearance in Calgary.

"As Canada's basketball team, the Raptors are excited to bring the NBA to cities across our country. We look forward to returning to Vancouver, where we had a sellout last year, and making new fans during our visit to Calgary," said Raptors guard and Canadian Cory Joseph.

Both games will be aired nationally on TSN and will be the fourth appearance for the Raptors and first for the Warriors and Nuggets in the NBA Canada Series.

In addition to the matches, the series also includes a number of interactive fan events, NBA legend appearances and NBA Cares community outreach programs.

Organizers say there is something for every fan in Canada, where the NBA has been growing in popularity over the years.

"The NBA has never been more popular in Canada. Between the Raptors' Eastern Conference Finals run, the excitement around the Warriors' record-setting season and the Nuggets' talented young core, our passionate Canadian fans are in for a real treat when these teams come to Vancouver and Calgary in October," said NBA Canada Vice President and Managing Director Dan MacKenzie.

Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster on September 2.
