RCMP has recovered the bodies of two people from the charred remains of a house fire on a rural property south of Olds, Alberta.

Police were called to the property at about 4:00 a.m. on Monday and found a home fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.

On Tuesday, police were able to get into the scene and located two deceased people in the debris.

The bodies have been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

So far there is no word on the identities of the deceased and the Olds Fire Department and Alberta fire investigators are working to determine a cause.
