The snowy weather didn't stop people from taking in Easter events at the Calgary Zoo on Good Friday.

Calgarians headed to the zoo for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza and enjoyed a number of demonstrations and special events.

The two day event has everything from cookie decorating and face painting to an indoor maze and rabbit hopping demonstrations.

“We've got some new animals on exhibit right now. The Eurasian lynx are out and the snow leopards are actually in a new enclosure so it's a great time to come down to the zoo,” said Roz Freeman, Special Events Advisor.

Admission is free with regular zoo admission.
