Following an autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner, Calgary police have ruled the recent death of a woman in south Calgary as not criminal in nature.
On Wednesday afternoon, a woman, believed to be in her 50’s, was found to be in medical distress at a location behind the Shawnessy Walmart.
EMS transported the woman to the South Calgary Health Campus where she was pronounced dead.
The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The identity of the deceased and the cause of death have not been released.
