Pincher Creek RCMP is asking the public for help in the investigation into the death of Victoria Joanne Crow Shoe whose body was found near the Oldman Dam on Sunday.
Crow Shoe, 43, of Lethbridge, was last seen by her family on August 26 and was reported missing to police on Tuesday.
Her body was found by a fisherman along the shore of the Oldman River Reservoir at the Windy Point Campground on Sunday and police say efforts to identify her began immediately.
An autopsy confirmed her identity and police then notified her family.
Police have not released the cause of death and are now working to track Crow Shoe’s whereabouts and activities between August 26 and September 13.
