Calgary police have now charged a man with inciting hate in connection with a series of messages spray painted on the walls and windows of Tuscany LRT station in December 2015.
Police had already charged 28-year-old Kyle Mackenzie with six counts of mischief, but he now faces an additional two charges of inciting hate.
Back in December, anti-Syrian and anti-Muslim messages were spray painted throughout the CTrain station in northwest Calgary.
Several cars in the parking lot were also tagged.
Another man, 30-year-old Miguel Lavergne was also charged with mischief in connection with the case.
They are expected in court this week.
