Two men have been charged in connection to a gang-related murder in Red Deer.

In the spring of 2009, Brandon Prevey was shot to death in his car after he parked on a residential street in Red Deer.

Investigators say the 29-year-old was in a dispute with Calgary's FOB gang and the murder is believed to be a direct result of conflicts between the FOB and rival gangs in southern Alberta.

On Tuesday, more than a year after the murder, Pedro Julio Saenz was charged with murder. The 21-year-old was arrested at a Calgary home without incident.

Christopher Ryan McIvor was also charged with murder. The 20-year-old was arrested at a home in Red Deer.

Police are still looking for a third person.
