City parking officials are asking Grey Cup tickets holders to park in designated areas only on Grey Cup day or better yet take the CTrain to the game.

A number of festival tents are going up in the east parking lot of McMahon Stadium and that will drastically cut parking spaces.

The Calgary Parking Authority will have 5 special constables on hand to respond to parking problems on Sunday and they will be keeping an eye on residential areas around the stadium.

The communities that surround McMahon Stadium have parking restrictions in place to keep fans from clogging their neighborhoods and tickets will be issued to violators.

Calgary Transit says they are expecting an increase in passengers for the game and the festivities before kickoff.

"We will be adding bus service to and from the game, both before the game and post game, and we will be having additional CTrain service, more frequent service right into the late evenings, late Friday, Saturday and Sunday," said Ron Collins of Calgary Transit.

About 50,000 fans are expected to take in the game live at McMahon Stadium between the Alouettes and Riders.
