The body of a southern Alberta man has been found nearly two years after he was last seen.

27-year-old Chris McConnell went missing on May 22nd of 2007 while driving from Medicine Hat to Kelowna, B.C.

At the time, RCMP conducted aerial searches and McConnell's family travelled the Trans-Canada highway searching for his vehicle.

A few days ago, two brothers from Quebec found the man's badly decomposed body while hiking near a secluded ravine near Revelstoke, B.C.

The coroner's office used dental records to identify McConnell.
